September 2025 Of NRB, PR for Buoyancy, and a New Name
Today’s note highlights three separate topics all of interest to Buoyancy and we hope also to readers of this weekly, as yet unnamed, missive.
We start with the most significant to some—NRB.
Considering NRB 2026? Don’t buy your ticket.
Read this first.
A really exciting place to be and a wonderful opportunity for prepared authors to get media interviews is at the annual NRB convention, aka National Religious Broadcasters convention, coming up in February. Many of you may have started receiving information from the NRB organization offering deals on registering for this event, being held February 17-20, 2026, in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland resort (pictured above).
One postcard I received recently offers registration for a full attendance ticket for only $200 with joining NRB. Joining NRB is laudable, but my associate dues in recent years have been more than $400. Plus, there’s an application fee of $50. Assuming your membership category is the same as mine, you are looking at $650. And that just gets you in the door.
Buoyancy PR will be an exhibitor again at NRB, representing a select group of authors for promotion and to coordinate getting them interviews.
And your registration is included in your investment.
If you think you would like to learn more about this opportunity to have your book on display in the Buoyancy booth, plus do media interviews coordinated by Buoyancy staff, you’ll want to request our invitation to participate with Buoyancy PR at NRB, the largest international gathering of Christian communicators in the world.
It is work that covers at least four months before and after the NRB convention, and it is a significant investment.
So, you may want to get more info from us first before registering for NRB.
Our space is limited, but we will be starting the invitations to authors who might wish to consider NRB in about a week.
If you know now you want one of our spots, please contact me right away via email.
Publicity for Buoyancy
We are going to be interviewed next week on Celeste Giordano’s radio program about business, which is found on community station WCEG Live Talk Radio. Despite booking countless interviews for other people, Buoyancy managing director Joni Sullivan Baker has never been interviewed on behalf of Buoyancy about our work for authors. [Something about cobbler’s children lacking shoes comes to mind for those who know that adage!]
The interview will be live on Tuesday, September 23 at 4 pm Central, 5 pm Eastern.
You can access the livestream on WCEGtalkradio.com. Or find it later archived on YouTube at

And finally –
Week-Ending Words
We’ve been doing this most-Fridays note to the Buoyancy community for several years but have never settled on a name.
As of today, however, we are trying one out: Week-Ending Words
This doesn’t give one a clue as to our topic, but it’s long past time for a name. The full name is Week-Ending Words from Buoyancy PR, a mouthful we will generally shorten.
It isn’t really intended to point to the weekend, though by Friday most of us don’t need to be encouraged to think about the weekend ahead. But since we sometimes write to you on Saturdays, a Friday reference in the name wasn’t right. And if you like the subtle encouragement that the weekend is here, maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
We’d love to know what you think.
