Looking Ahead to 2024: To Him Who is Able

Did you have a good year?

Yes, it’s that close to the end that we speak of it in past tense.

To be honest, I’m a bit surprised to be here already. This has been a year that slipped past quickly.

So, it’s the time to take stock and review God’s blessings.

In the Buoyancy shop we were thankful for our involvement in NRB in Orlando in May, as well as the Christian Product Expo in Lexington in August, in addition to our year-round service to authors. One other highlight has actually been this almost-weekly missive and blog that brought us unexpected interesting conversations and feedback from delightful authors.

Some people set a word for the year and find that meaningful. That has never appealed to me, nor was I raised in a church culture that encouraged everyone to find a life verse from the Bible.

But this year I decided to at least memorize one verse, and it’s one I find myself returning to again and again, with a smile.

And here it is.

Now to Him who is able
To do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
According to His power at work within us,
To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
Throughout all generations,
For ever and ever!
Amen.

That’s Ephesians 3:20-21. I love the word choices, I love the energy and passion, I love the promises. [And now I’ve even been to Ephesus but that’s just a bonus.]

For 2024, we’ll be relying on His power, excited to see what He brings and excited to share with you our new plans for serving more Christian authors to help them share with others their messages of God’s love.

We’d love to hear about your plans and how we might be able to help, whether that’s before or after you’ve finished with wrapping paper and fruitcake!
